Materials: 3 glasses, a magnet, 12 paper metal clips, some water, some olive oil and some syrup

How does the experiment work?

when using water and olive oil, the paper clips moved through the liquid to the magnet very quickly. This is because the liquids provided very little resistance.

However, the paper metal clip in the syrup moved very slowly toward the magnet.This is because the syrup has a very think consistency.

CIRCUIT SYMBOLS

series or parallel circuits

SERIES CIRCUIT: there is only one pathway for electricity.If it is open, the flow of the current stops.

PARALLEL CIRCUIT: there are two or more pathways for electricity current to flow. If one pathway is open, the other one still works.

We start the unit: Electricity.

You are going to experiment with the electricity in class.

Finally, you have to make an electrical circuit.

You need to buy:

2 electrical wires--- 2 cables eléctricos(1.5 o menos), de distinto color y de un metro cada uno

a battery 4,5V (una pila de petaca: 4,5voltios)

a light bulb 5V (una bombilla 5voltios)

an adhesive tape (cinta aislante)

a switch (un interruptor)

a lamp socket (portalámparas)

Este portalámparas es más práctico y fácil de manejar

Para realizar el proyecto final, vas a necesitar apoyarte en

madera de contrachapado o tablero DM

También algo firme como un cartón.
